Alcohol abuse acts as a catalyst to PTSD symptoms: Study Report


Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a serious mental disorder. The disorder is mostly seen in those who have experienced terrifying events in their life. In that sense, the soldiers are extremely vulnerable to this disease.

The disease is curable. It is very important that those who suffer from this disease should indentify this disorder at the right time and approach an experienced doctor before the things go out of hand. The unpleasant fact is that most people who suffer from this disease show self-destructive behavior. That is why, it is said that it is necessary to identify the symptoms at the right time.

It is noticed that some people facing these disorders heavily relay on the substance abuse and alcohol abuse to escape from the disturbing symptoms.

Anyway, a study has confirmed that such dangerous practices may act as a catalyst to the PTSD symptoms.

We should not forget that those suffering from these disorders need the support and care of their family.
