Australian priest found guilty of concealing sex abuses

A senior Australian Priest, Archbishop Philip Wilson, has been found guilty of concealing child sex abuse cases.

The exposed abuses were actually taken place several decades ago while he was holding an responsible position in the church where the abuses occurred.

It is identified that the priest tried to help his colleague who was a paedophile with his move to cover up the child sexual abuse cases.

Though the convict has claimed that he was neither aware nor informed about the sexual abuses, the court has found that several victims contacted him personally to inform about their unpleasant experiences.

It is the courage of the victims that has helped to bring the real culprits before the judicial system of the country, which earlier forced to turn blind eye towards such issues in the past several times due to a variety of issues ranging from the pressure of churches to the lack of genuine enthusiasm of victims.

In this case, many victims have shown an extra ordinary courage and strength to stay firmly in their allegation. Denouncing the defenders claim that the victims’ statements are not trust worthy, the court has declared that almost all victims who have come forward with allegations against the victims are trustworthy.
