BADAM CUTLET

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

Potato – 4 cups (Boiled and Mashed potato)

Oil – As required

Badam – 1 cup (Coarsely powdered)

Ginger – 2 tablespoon (chopped)

Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon

Red Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon

Cumin seeds – 3 teaspoon

Green chillies – 3 (finely chopped)

Spring onion – 1 cup (chopped)

Maida – 2 cups

Bread crumbs – 2 cups

Pepper powder – 2 teaspoon

Corriander Leaves – 2 tablespoon (chopped)

Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon

Salt – to taste

 

PREPARATION:

Heat a pan over medium flame. Add 6 tablespoons of oil into the pan. Then put cumin seeds into it and fry for a few seconds.

Then add chopped ginger, green chillies and almonds into it. Saute it well. Then put turmeric powder, red chilly powder, pepper powder and required amount of salt and stir well.

Add the mashed potatoes. Mix well for few minutes. Before removing the pan from the flame, add chopped spring onions and coriander leaves.

Add a few drops of lemon juice and mix well. Mash all the ingredients using a masher.

Remove from the heat and allow it to cool. Then make small/medium cutlets of desired shapes.

Dissolve the Maida flour with water to make a batter. Dip each cutlet in this batter. And roll it in the bread crumbs. Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.

Fry each cutlet in the oil until it turns brown in colour. Remove and drain the excess oil on a tissue paper.

Serve it hot.
