BATTURA & CHANNA MASALA

 

 

 

BATTURA

INGREDIENTS

Potato – ¼ kg

Maida – ½ kg

Baking powder – 1 tsp

Curd – ½ cup

Salt – to taste

Oil  – for frying

METHOD

Mix all the ingredients to a smooth dough

Keep it aside for an hour

Roll out into thick pooris.

Deep fry.

CHANNA MASALA

INGREDIENTS

Channa – 1 cup

Onion – 3

Raw mango – 1 small

Chilli powder  -1 tsp

Coriander powder – 2 tsp

Turmeric powder – a pinch

Garlic – 2 cloves

Salt – to taste

Water – 5 cups

Green chilli – 4 nos

Ginger – 1 tsp

Coriander a little

Jeera a pinch

Oil – ½ cup

METHOD

Soak the channa over night.

Roast the onions directly on the flame . grind it with chilli powder , turmeric powder ,coriander powder , garlic ,jeera and raw mango.

Heat oil and fry green chillies and ginger and keep it aside.

In a pressure cooker fry the masala until the oil comes out.

Add channa ,salt ,water and pressure cook for 20 t0 25 minutes.

Remove and decorate with chilli and ginger.
