BEETROOT HALWA

Ingredients

Milk –1cups

Ghee – 3-4 teaspoon

Beetroot – 2 cups (grated)

Sugar to taste

Nuts as required

Cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon

 

Method

Boil milk in a heavy bottom pot. Add grated beetroots, stir well. Cook until the milk has completely evaporated.

Add sugar in it .stir well for a few minutes, then add ghee. Stir continuously. Switch off the flame until the halwa thickens and oil starts getting separated from the halwa.

Now add cardamom powder and mix well.

Add nuts and mix well. Garnish it with nuts. Serve beetroot halwa hot or warm..
