Brazilian meat industry to suffer a huge blow as the US set to close their doors on it

Citing the existence of corrupt practice among the government servants in granting permission and certification to export the meat products in Brazil, the United States has temporarily blocked the entry of meat from one of the world’s biggest meat exporters into their country. The investigation done by the Federal Police has identified substantial shreds of evidence to prove that the meat exported from the Brazil is not fit to use. As per the report, most of the meat factories functioning in this corrupted country are functioning under unhygienic conditions. The investigators have exposed how the meat traders use illicit methods like bribing to acquire the permission to export substandard meat. The disappointing fact that the JBS, the world’s largest beef exporter, and BRF, one of the world’s largest poultry producers, are among those companies which have been discovered to have maintained a unhygienic environment. It is learned that the Federal Investigative officials have conducted raids in nearly 194 companies or farms located in Brazil. Earlier, similar restrictions have been imposed on Brazil by some European countries. China, the European countries and the United Sates are the prime consumers of the Brazilian meat. Anyway, it seems that the Brazilian government is likely to suffer a huge financial crisis due to this meat ban. In the recent past, Brazil has witnessed several corruption scandals including those involving high profile politicians and bureaucrats. So, it is unlikely that the state’s political and permanent executive would come forward with a powerful law to bring down the raising corruption rate.
