British governments new move to control acid attacks


With the increase of acid attacks on London streets, government is all set to launch severe punishment for the perpetrators of the acid attacks. This comes in awake of the latest acid attack that hit on the streets of London last week in which around 5 men around the city were attacked over a time frame of 70 minutes. The perpetrators are bound to be sentenced to life long imprisonment for their actions according to the new law. The Home Secretary Amber Run was quoted as saying the accused must “feel the full force of law’.

Speaking to reporters Rudd Said “life sentences must not be reserved for acid attack survivors“ rather it applies to all those accused in connection to using other corrosive substances and dangerous weapons that are a threat to the society.

According to report released by Police, the acid attacks in the city has been on rise with around 116 filed incidents in 2014 to 454 in 2015 and continuing the same trend this year as well. Government has ensured to make strict actions and to punish the perpetrators in a way they deserve.
