Carrot – ½ Kg (grated)

Milk – 2 Cups (full cream milk)

Sugar – ¾ cup

Cardamom Powder – ¼ teaspoon

Ghee – 3 tablespoon

Nuts – ¼ cup (Cashew nuts, raisins, Almonds)



Boil milk in a heavy bottom pot. Add grated carrots, stir well. Cook until the milk has completely evaporated.

Add sugar in it. Stir well for a few minutes, then add ghee. Stir continuously. Switch off the flame until the halwa thickens and oil starts getting separated from the halwa.

Now add cardamom powder and mix well.

Add nuts and mix well. Garnish it with nuts. Serve carrot halwa hot or warm. Or serve the carrot halwa with a scoop of ice cream.
