Carrot Rice




Rice- 2 Cup

Chopped Onion-2


Fried Groundnuts-2 tea spoon

Oil-2 tea spoon

Cinnamon-a small piece

Broken Block Gram-1 tea spoon


Mustard-1 tea spoon

Bengal Gram-1 tea spoon

Curry leaves-for garnishing

Salt- as needed


For Masala: 

Coriander Seeds- 1 1/2 tea spoon

Cumin seeds-3/4 tea Spoon

Grated Coconut-2 tea spoon

Red chilly- 4




  1. Cook the rice and let it cool.
  2. Heat a pan and pour oil. Add red chillies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and fry until it is brown.
  3. Add grated coconuts and cool it. Grind it after it cools down.
  4. Grind the fried groundnuts seperately
  5. Put the carrots in warm water and grate it .
  6. Heat oil in a pan. Fry cloves, cinnamon, mustard, broken block gram and Bengal gram.
  7. Add curry leaves and chopped onions. Once the onion brown, add grated carrots and fry it.
  8. Add rice and fry in a low flame. Add salt and the masala powder. and  mix well.

Add Groundnut powder and  serve hot
