England convincingly leads the T20 series against South Africa.

It was an overall performance by the English unit against the Proteas in their 1st T20 match. Having won the toss and chosen to Bat first, South Africa lost both their openers in 1st ball of 2 consecutive overs. 1st up it was JT Smuts who was completely beaten by an in swinger bowled by Willey in the very first ball of the match, followed by Hendricks who pulled his very first ball to find a man in mid wicket. It was ABDe Villiars and F Behardien who stayed tight in crease to get South Africa to a defendable total. English bowlers were right on spot as they restricted the proteas from scoring. It was  evident that latter was short 30 – 40 runs towards the end of the Innings. ABD along with Behardien when on to make a stand of 110 fighting their way through a disciplined bowling attack.

On the hand, in the second half, chase was quite beautifully proceeded. England got of to a flying start. Having lost the only one opener Jason Roy, England chased down the total with another 5 over to spare. Ashey Hales and Baristow hammers the South African bowlers around. JM Baristow was name the man of the match for his amazing 60 of 35 balls. England take a 1 – 0 lead in this 3 match T20 series.
