EU aids Greece with 200 Million euros to cope with migrants


In the awake of growing migrants into most of the European countries, European Union has decided to fund 200 Million euros to Greece to help them cope with the increasing number of migrants and refugees. As of now more than 400 Million euros have been provided by the Humanitarian Aid and crisis management to Greece. The fund would be used to provide the refugees with a monetary relief to rent accommodation to the families and pay the expense incurred while moving out of refugee camps.

Loannis Mouzalas, the Greek minister incharge of migration said “We keep on shutting down camps as long as we are able to find apartments. During the last 4 – 5 months, since we started implementing the programme we shut down six camps. I believe by the end of august, one more camp will shut down and we will keep on closing the camps.”

The funding initiates to provide aid to more that 1.5 million refugees by the end of this year.
