EU to restrict the number of Inflatable boats and motors to Libya in wake of increasing number of Human trafficking

The European Union has come to a decision to restrict the number of inflated boats and motor it sends to Libya.  According to report, Inflatable boats were widely used for smuggling activities. But no restriction has been made on the sale of boat for genuine reason for instance for fishermen who need motors for their boats.

This has also come amid the increasing number of deaths caused due to migration via Meditterranean sea following the unrest in Libya after the death of its ousted ruler Gadhafi. Around 2000 people have been reported to have died or missing along the meditteranean sea. The meditterranean route between Italy and Libya is considered as one of the harshest sea route.

Germany has stood up to welcome the refugees in order them to give them a better life.  EU too has stood up for the cause but a lot of voice to Cap the number of migrants per years has been a huge debate.
