German chancellor set to meet Russian supremo

The German chancellor, Angela Merkel, is set to meet the Russian supremo, Vladimir Putin, ending the two-year-long uncertainty in the bilateral relation between the two powerful countries of Europe. These two countries are not in a good relation since Russia provocatively annexed the Crimea region situated in Ukraine. It is a fact that Germany was instrumental in pushing Russian out of the progressive west camp in which the latter was an active member. Currently, Russia is neither a member of the European Union nor a good friend of the western industrialist nations. On the wake of these circumstances, the new development gains more political as well as economic prominence. It is learned that the Syrian issue and Ukraine issue will be the top points during the upcoming meeting, which is scheduled to be held at Mr Putin’s summer residence in Sochi. The Russian supremo wants the German chancellor to help them reinstate their position in the European Union, while German supremo wants the Russian President to help them achieve peace in the Syrian and Ukraine regions. It is said that the Russian supremo is likely to meet the Turkish dictator immediately after his scheduled meeting with Ms Merkel. The interesting fact is that it might not be that difficult for both leaders to indulge in a productive chat as Mr Putin is an expert in the German language and his German counterpart is good at the Russian language. Before embarking to Russia, the German chancellor has recently met the US President, Donald Trump.
