Germany arrests Audi CEO Rupert Stadler


On the suspicion that highly influential executive Rupert Stadler would try to influence a crucial investigative against the organisation which he leads, the German authorities have arrested the Audi Chief Executive Officer in connection with the diesel emission scandal.

While speaking to the media personals, the concerned officials of the carmaker conglomerate have confirmed that their CEO has been booked in connection with the infamous diesel emission scandal which badly affected the confidence and trust the public had in the brand.

The investigators who unearthed the scandal alleged that the company inserted a software cheat the authorities who checked the scale of emission made by their diesel engine cars.

As per a latest report, the investigative authorities would question the CEO soon. The legal representatives, who have appeared for the arrested CEO before the court which considers the case, has not yet responded to the media representatives. At this moment, it is not clear what will be the next move of the arrestee. There is clarity in one thing that the arrestee will not be questioned until the meeting between the arrestee and his lawyers take place.

The corporate world, particularly the automobile conglomerates, is closely observing the developments related to the case.
