keralarainRecord rains pounded in Kerala, 27 died because of heavy rain, landslides and flash floods this week. Kerala’s monsoon disaster was quietly in making over the past few weeks but the relentless rain in certain districts from the last three days goes out of control as the water level rapidly rises overnight, especially the dams in Idukki and Idamalayar.

The state government has inquired assistance from the Coast Guard, Army, Air Force, NDRF and Military Intelligence. There is a team of NDRF deployed in Ernakulam, Alappuzha and Kozhikode region, while there are six more teams of NDRF been deployed said the Cheif Minister.
The Chief Minister urged the public to stay caution and the rescue operation team would operate without any hindrance. Advised the public not to go near dams. Only the assigned rescue force is allowed. Pinarayi also stated those who are taking part in the Vavubali ritual stay careful.

However, there is also a team of local citizens of the flooded district. Join hands from different private organisations and fund their support as well.
