Infamous ‘Mistress of Life and Death’ sentenced to fourteen years imprisonment

A former member of the Bosnian-Croat forces which were active participants of the infamous Bosnian War, Azra Basic, has been sentenced to fourteen years imprisonment by a court, situated in Bosnia, for several severe charges ranging from murder to torture.

Basic, who is popularly known as the Mistress of Life and Death, as per the details narrated by an eye witness to an International media house, pushed the ethnic-Serb civilians detained during the war by the Bosnian-Croat forces into the hell of torture.

As per the eye witness’s account, the sentenced officer was a merciless person similar to the Nazi prison officers who used systematic torture methods to slowly kill the Jewish community.

Basic escaped to the United State immediately after the end of the Bosnian war. She stayed there, for nearly twenty year, until the year 2011, in which she was finally traced and arrested by the officials. Subsequently, she was deported to Bosnia to face the trial.

In contrary to what the ethnic-Serb eye witnesses has claimed the character of the female Bosnian-Croat officer is, for her peers in the United State, she is a kind-hearted lady.

Basic is the first woman who has received such a serious punishment of fourteen years imprisonment for war crimes.
