Ruling out all speculations indicating the possibility of the political change in the Asia’s most economically powerful country, the Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, has grabbed clear victory over his political opponent, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, in all poll survey reports.

The Liberal Democratic Party, which is led by the Japanese supremo, is expected to grab nearly 303 seats in the 465-seat-parliament in the elections.

Meanwhile, the Tokyo governor’s newly launched party, the Party of Hope, is not likely to grab more than 54 seats.

With the support of the Komeito -which is likely to win nearly 30 seats, the conservative faction is expected to grab an astounding two-thirds majority in the lower house, which is the most powerful house of the Japanese parliament.

In the election campaign, the prime focus of the ruling faction has been the economic growth strategies and the emerging North Korean nuclear threat.

Political experts say that though the Party of Hope has managed to attract many citizens, it has failed to project anything more than the Tokyo supremo’s popularity.

The experts add that had the opposition party projected any popular candidate for the prime ministerial post, the party could have avoided the confusion created among the voters.

Anyway, the general election is due to take place on 22 October 2017.
