LEMON FLAVOURED CAKE

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • Flour – 1 ½ cup
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Butter – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar –  3/4 cup
  • Lemon zest – 2 teaspoons
  • Egg – 2
  • Milk – 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons

 

METHOD:

  • Heat the oven to 180 degrees.
  • Combine the dry powders together and set aside.
  • In another bowl beat all the other items together except the eggs.
  • Then add the eggs one at a time beating after adding each egg. Then gradually add the dry powder mix to this and beat till they are well incorporated.
  • Pour this batter into the buttered baking pan and bake till done.This would be about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • When done remove from oven and leave it cool. Transfer to a cake stand and decorate with sugar icing according to your taste.
