Merkel to forge political alliance with old coalition partners

Hours after the Social Demarcates changed its earlier stance that it would not join hands with the German Chancellor’s party and with those who support the chancellor to make the government, the reports regarding the scheduled meeting between Angela Merkel and SPD leader Martin Schulz have been publicised.

Recently, the coalition talk between the Merkel’s party and the Liberal Free Democrats failed to find a satisfactory conclusion.

Immediately after the failure, the Chancellor, as per the report, approached the President in order to tell his willingness to face a snap election.

Anyway, it is said that this attempt has prompted the SPD to relook their earlier stance and to declare its willingness to hold coalition talk with its former partner.

The coalition talk, which is going to take place next week, will be hosted by the German President, Frank Walter Steinmeier.

The disturbance in the political landscape of Germany is worrying many of its European allies, which consider it as the most powerful supporter and the best example of stable government.

It is clear that the German Chancellor is not likely to accept any suggestions asking her to make a minority government.

How will the ‘Great Germany’ overcome the crisis?
