NK issue: UN Security Council set to organise an urgent meeting

On the wake of the new provocation made by the North Korean regime by firing a new ballistic missile across the Japanese territories, the United Nations Security Council is set to organise an urgent meeting, at the request of the United States and Japan.

Recently, the United Nations imposed stiff sanctions on the iron curtain country in order to prevent it from indulging in any more nuclear weapon or ballistic missile programmes.

The repeated provocations indicate that the NK’s dictatorial regime is not likely to drop their nuclear weapon and ballistic missile experiments and it is likely to intensify their ambitious experiments in the coming days.

Immediately after the provocative move, the South Korean regime has retorted the attack by firing two ballistic missiles near the NK territories.

The Japanese government has warned that it would not tolerate the provocation any more.

There have been reports that China and Russia have been asked to respond immediately and have been directed by the West to support their move to impose an extreme sanction.

The scheduled UNSC meet is likely to take place in New York in the United States.

The big question is: why China is showing reluctance to impose an embargo on NK on the sales of crude oil.
