peas pulao

 

Ingredients.

1 ½ cup of basmati rice

3 tablespoons ghee

Whole spices like cinnamon

4 cardamoms,

4 cloves

5 to 6 grains of whole pepper

1/2 bay leaf

1 teaspoon cumin seeds,and salt.

200 gms of fresh green peas

2 sliced onions

1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste

1 cube of Maggie taste maker.

Method.

  • Soak the rice in water for about ½ an hour and set aside.
  • Heat a heavy pan and add the ghee.To this add the whole spices, two sliced onions. and bay leaves and sauté. Then add the ginger garlic paste.
  • To this add the green peas and stir for a few minutes.Now add the soaked rice without the water.Stir to mix.Add the Maggie cube and enough salt.
  • Cook this in 3 cups of hot water.Cook covered on slow heat after it has boiled.
  • Open the pan when ready to serve.Garnish with mint leaves.
