Protest breaks out in Macedonia over the speaker election issue

A violent protest has broken out in Macedonia as the Social Democrat leaders, which are supported by the minority Albanian section, has tried to elect an Albanian speaker. Several dramatic incidents have happened in the country, in which a serious ethnic conflict between the Albanians and the Macedonians exists. As per the report, the protesters have violently stormed into the parliament breaking all security checks immediately after the speaker election. It is learned that the protesters supporting the erstwhile supremo, Nikola Gruevski, have attacked several Social Democrat lawmakers. Unfortunately, senior Social Democrat leader Zoran Zaev, who earlier tried to form the government with the help of the Albanian lawmakers, has been seriously injured. In the pictures publicised by the international media houses, the injured face of the leader is clearly seen. From some other pictures related to the incident, it is apparent that the protesters were holding the Macedonian flags and some of them, who have activity taken part in the violence, have covered their face using some kind of mask. From these pictures, it is clear that some kind of conspiracy has taken place in order to derail the democratic system of this former Yugoslav republic. The US and other global leaders have strongly condemned the incident, saying it is not the acceptable way to register the difference of opinion. The Macedonians fear that the Albanians are slowly encroaching into their space in the social, political and economic spheres.
