No respite has been achieved in the Saudi Arabia-Lebanon crisis, even though the French supremo marked a surprise visit to Riyadh in order to discuss the instability in Lebanon, one of the traditional partners of ‘Colonial France’.

Indirectly accusing Riyadh and Tehran of creating instability in the region aiming at some personal gains, the United States’ Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, has warned the Iran-led Shia faction and Saudi-led Sunni faction against using the territory belonging to Lebanon for the unjustifiable purpose of proxy wars.

Recently, Lebanon Prime Minister Saad Hariri, who is presently in Saudi, announced his resignation in Riyadh, saying his life is under threat.

Anyway, Iran backed Shia militant organisation Hezbollah, from which the resigned Lebanon PM allegedly faces threat to his life, has claimed that the Saudi orchestrated this resignation.

Some Lebanon political figures have asserted that the resigned minister is under house arrest in Saudi.

Anyway, Mr Tillerson, who has received assurances from the Saudi authorities that the resigned Lebanon PM is not under arrest, has urged Mr Hariri to return to his country and explain to his countrymen why he took such an extreme step.

Anyway, the instability in the Middle East worries the International organisations, which recently warned that some regions in the Middle East such as Yemen are highly vulnerable to famine.
