Slovak PM expresses his willingness to resign

The Slovakian Prime Minister, Robert Fico, has expressed his willingness to resign from the top post. According to a latest report, he has already submitted his resignation letter to the Slovakian President.

The move has been publicised by the Prime Minister himself while speaking to an International media house.

As per an unverified report, the Prime Minister has informed the President that he would not step down from the post if the decision to organise an early-election is taken in the wake of his resignation. He has, as per the assumptions, said that he would suggest a suitable person for the post from his party once his request is accepted.

At this moment, it is not clear how the opposition and the public would respond to these selfish preconditions.

Actually, it was the death of a journalist, who was investigating the link between mafia groups and the country’s government, and his fiancée prompted the country’s population to organise strong protests across the country demanding the resignation of the PM, whose relation with the mafia groups was indirectly mentioned in the murdered journalist’s incomplete story which was published shortly after the unacceptable incident.

Earlier, Interior Minister Robert Kalinak resigned from the post, after he was forced to so by the coalition parties, which fear the after-effects of the public unrest.
