Turkish court awarded life imprisonment to six journalists

Showing extreme loyalty to the regime which has been brutally suppressing all dissents since the failed coup, a Turkish court has awarded a severe sentence of life imprisonment to at least six journalists for trying to support an attempt to eliminate the existing order in order to bring a new regime or a new order.

Nazli Ilicak, Ahmet Altan, Mehmet Altan, Fevzi Yazici, Yakup Simsek and Sukru Tugrul Ozsengul are the six journalists who have been sent to the prison by the Turkish court after denying the normal justice that every individual born in a civilized society deserves.

It is clear that the Turkish government strongly believe that the jailed journalists have a good relation with US-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen, who is considered as the brain behind the failed coup which was intended to bring down Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In the aftermath of the failed coup, the security force persons, who are loyal to the Erdogen-regime, have executed severe crackdown arresting several disloyal security personals, police officials, lawyers, preachers, teachers, journalists, intellectuals, government servants, activists, politicians, youngsters, students and many others, who they suspected close link with the exiled preacher.

Anyway, the United Nations and several other International organizations have condemned the Turkish court’s verdict.
