Twin attack in Iran’s capital city – Tehran

Multiple attacks have been reported in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. The Iranian state media reported attacks at the country’s parliment and Ayatollah Khomeini mausoleum south of the capital city on Wednesday. FARS  a local news agency stated that Armed attacked forced themselves into Iran’s parliament and opened firing killing two security guards and three others, identity unknown.  One of a assailants who opened up firing in parliament is said to have blown himself up by the reports from Intelligence Ministry.

In the other part of the city, Ayatollah Khomeini mausoleum, two people were were killed on the spot in a suicide attack.

Further reports stated that death toll had raised to 12. But it still remained unclear if the attackers were included in the death figures. Iran’s state run press claimed the hand of ISIS in the attack but there is no proper evidence to prove the Extremist groups involvement.
