US Secretary of State and White House share different opinion in NK issue

It seems that US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and the US government led by President Donald Trump share different opinion in the North Korean issue.

Recently, the US Secretary of State claimed that his country was willing to engage in talks with North Korea without suggesting any preconditions.

Clearly opposing the stand taken by the Secretary of State, the White House has announced that the country would not engage with any talk with North Korea until the latter agree to take concrete measures to implement denuclearization.

The difference of opinion in the NK issue exposes the flaws in the United State’s North Korean policy. Moreover, it gives wrong message to North Korea and those who keenly observe the political developments in the US-NK issue.

North Korea has, in the recent past, conducted several ballistic missile and nuclear experiments, threatening the western countries, particularly the United States.

In response to NK’s aggressive experiment, the UN, at the behest of the US, has imposed serious sanctions against North Korea.

For the last few months, the US has been even pressurising the Chinese government, which is the only friend of the iron curtain country, and which is supplying some crucial recourses to the autocratic community country, to severe their relation with NK.
