You should eat lunch like a king, not breakfast: Ayurveda Expert


We all know the saying that one should eat lunch like a king. Yes, breakfast is very important for good health.

It is not good to skip breakfast. It may lead to several serious diseases. Breakfast is more important than lunch.

Is it good to eat breakfast like a king? Some theories mentioned in the Ayurveda books contradict the saying that you should eat breakfast like a king.

As per the Ayurveda theories, the human digestive system is more active at noon compared to morning and evening. There is some connection with sun and digestive system. Fire represents the digestive system in Ayurveda. Fire is compared with the sun to give more clarity to the theory in the ancient Ayurveda books. As per the ancient theory, at the noontime, the sun is very hot like the fire inside the human body.

Modern medical science also agrees human digestive system secretes more amounts of digestive enzymes at noon compared to morning and afternoon.
